Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 But [on that Day,] when the eyesight is by fear confounded, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
