Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
