Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
