Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
