Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
