Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
