Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
