Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
