Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 as black camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
