Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
