Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
