In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 until an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
