Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 separating one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
