Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
