Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
