Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
