Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
