Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
