Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
