Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
