Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
