Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
