Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
