Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
