Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
