Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
