Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
