Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
