Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
