The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ ABOUT WHAT do they [most often] ask one another? 1 About the great news - 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 Verily, they shall soon (come to) know! 4 Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 And made sleep for you to rest, 9 And made the night a cover. 10 And We have made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And built seven strong roofs above you. 12 and We appointed a blazing lamp 13 And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water 14 that We may bring forth with it grain, plants 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time, 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 and when the skies are opened and become [as wide-flung] gates; 19 And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. 20 Surely hell lies in wait, 21 a home for the transgressors, 22 for the rebellious ones and they will live therein for ages. 23 They will not taste therein cool or any drink. 24 Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - 25 for a suitable recompense. 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 And they denied Our signs to the extreme. 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
