The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Whereof do they question one another? 1 Is it about the awesome tiding 2 About which they cannot agree. 3 No indeed; soon will they come to know; 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse, 6 And the mountains as stakes? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 And made sleep for you to rest, 9 and the night as a cover, 10 and made the day to seek livelihood, 11 And We have builded over you seven strong heavens. 12 And have kept a very bright lamp in it. 13 And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water 14 so that We might bring forth thereby grain, and herbs, 15 And gardens thick with trees. 16 Surely the day of decision is (a day) appointed: 17 On that Day when the trumpet shall be sounded, you shall come in droves, 18 and when the sky shall be opened up and will become all doors; 19 and the mountains will be set in motion and become a mirage. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 The destination of the rebellious. 22 therein they shall abide for ages, 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 Except boiling water and benumbing cold: 25 The reward to each is according to what he is. 26 Surely they feared not the account, 27 having given the lie to Our messages one and all: 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 [And so We shall say:] "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
