The News (Al-Naba')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Concerning what are they disputing? 1 About the great tidings! 2 About which they cannot agree. 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 Again, by no means! anon they shall know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And it is We who created you in pairs. 8 And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 And made the day for livelihood 11 And built seven strong roofs above you. 12 And We made a shining lamp, 13 and sent down abundant water from the clouds 14 So that We bring forth thereby corn and vegetation. 15 And gardens dense and luxuriant. 16 Verily the Day of Decision is a time appointed. 17 A day when the trumpet is blown and ye come in multitudes, 18 and when the skies are opened and become [as wide-flung] gates; 19 and the mountains move, and vaporize. 20 Certainly Hell lies in wait, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 Where they will remain for aeons, 23 Neither coolness shall they taste therein nor any [thirst-quenching] drink 24 Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, 25 A fitting recompense (for them). 26 for they never expected to be called to account, 27 and they absolutely belied Our verses, 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 'Taste! We shall not increase you except in punishment' 30
