The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What are they questioning each other about? 1 About the great event, 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 Indeed, they shall know! 4 Yes, indeed, before long they will learn all about it. 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 And the high hills bulwarks? 7 And it is We who created you in pairs. 8 and gave you repose in sleep, 9 And We made the night to be a covering, 10 and made the day for earning a livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong ones, 12 And We made a shining lamp, 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 Thereby to produce grain and plant, 15 and thick gardens grow? 16 Indeed the Day of Decision is a time fixed. 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere semblance. 20 Indeed, Gehenna (Hell) has become an ambush, 21 a resort for the rebellious; 22 They will dwell therein for ages. 23 Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, 24 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. 25 An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes). 26 Indeed, they were not expecting an account 27 and roundly denied Our Signs as false. 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 Therefore taste it now – We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
