By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
