The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 and gathered his people together 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
