The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
