The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
