The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then he mustered 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 you pay attention 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
