The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
