The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 And the second followeth it, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 then he mustered 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
