The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 you pay attention 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
