The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels or stars or the horses, etc.). 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
