The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and gently take it away; 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
