The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
