The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
