The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
