The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
