The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
