The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
