Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are ye harder to create or the heaven which He hath builded? 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 And He made its night dark, and started its light. 29 And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse); 30 He brought out its water and its pastures from it, 31 And the mountains He set firmly 32 As convenience for you and your cattle. 33 So when the greatest universal disaster arrives, 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 then as for whosoever was insolent 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 Will surely have Hell for his abode. 39 But as for him who feared the Station of his Lord and forbade the soul its caprice, 40 Lo! the Garden will be his home. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 You are only a warner for those who fear such a day. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
